| Name is Ally. Thirty years old. Live in Connecticut. I love to write fantasy novels and read fantasy books. I work at a grocery store as a cashier. My journal entries range from entries about my family to my friends, to role playing, writing, and random memes I see posted on my f-list. I talk a lot about my writing, and I admit that I try to rely a little too heavily on others for help with my ideas, but it's something I'm working on. I love getting comments on my writing, but most of the time I'm not looking for -real,- hardcore feedback since anything I post is in draft, unedited form, and I haven't gotten to the point where I NEED the hardcore feedback. See below for a link to the LJ community I post my writing in mainly. What am I currently writing? I'm slowly working on a new project that is temporarily titled Bonds of Magic. My favorite animals are cats. I've had them my entire life. Right now I have two cats, Gizmo and Muffy, at my mom's house (where I currently live) and one cat, Artemis, at my dad's house. I also have a two year old Golden Retriever named Murphy. My dad had an almost two year old Irish Setter named Finnegan that became sick very suddenly due to bone cancer and had to be put down on July 2nd, 2016. It was incredibly heartbreaking. | ||

| My journal is friends only. My policy is simple- generally I prefer to add only people that I have some sort of previous contact with and don't really like being randomly friended- especially when the people who randomly friend me do not even comment on my entries. + I do not like dealing with drama, at least none that you're starting on purpose. Using my entries for "entertainment value" is not going to fly with me, and if you admit that's why you're reading my entries then we really have no business being friends on LJ. I deal with enough drama in real life and do not need to be dealing with it in my own LJ. If you do not agree with me about something, fine. But tell me so in a nice way, and I'll try to shrug it off, or don't tell me at all. + Do not insult myself or my friends. I am very loyal to my friends, and I am sure that as you read my entries you will find this out. Friends are very important to me. If you try starting shit with them, you are starting shit with me as well. You don't agree with them about something? Fine. Tell them politely. + When it comes to commenting, I'm not going to spaz on you if you don't comment on every single one of my entries. I certainly don't comment on every entry my friends make, so I don't expect the same thing from them. However, if I find that you hardly ever comment, do not be surprised if eventually end up being taken off of my list. All you have to do is ask to be readded in this entry only if you feel like you'll comment more and I'll consider adding you again. In return, I don't expect you to try and bitch me out for not responding to your posts. If I don't respond, I probably don't think anything I could say will be very helpful. As of August 12th, 2016: I highly suggest reading this post</b> as well for a detailed introduction-type-post once you have me added. | Movies and TV shows: Star Wars. Firefly. Castle. The Hunger Games. Merlin. Wicked. Supernatural. Glee. Moulin Rouge! Phantom of the Opera. RENT. Gilmore Girls. Beauty and the Beast. The Lion King. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The Princess Bride. Labyrinth. A Knight's Tale. Willow. Indiana Jones. Ladyhawke. Harry Potter. The Golden Compass. Alice in Wonderland. The Little Mermaid. The Lion King. Peter Pan. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The Land Before Time. The Wizard of Oz. Aladdin. Many, many more movies listed in my interests below. I would not call it a huge fandom of mine, but I watch American Idol for the auditions, and then if there are any singers I like I continue to watch. I absolutely adore Supernatural and have been watching it since the first season came out on DVD, basically. Interests: I love writing and reading. I love writing fantasy stories/novel attempts and reading fantasy. My absolute favorite fantasy books are the Sevenwaters Trilogy and its fourth book, Heir to Sevenwaters, as well as the author's newest almost series, Shadowfell and its sequel Raven Flight. I love the books Graceling, Fire and Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore. I am also a huge fan of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. I also love role playing and have been doing it online since 1999. I enjoy making random videos with iMovie, with my latest big project having been a video tribute to my grandfather who died in May. I love watching Disney/kids movies and don't care if I'm "too old" for them. My ultimate goal is to collect the major "classic" movies on DVD, such as Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Bambi, etc. I want to have a huge collection so that any future children of my own/nieces and nephews I may have one day can enjoy them as much as I have. I've also gotten big into photography over the last few years. I also enjoy graphic design, which up until 2014 was something I did as a hobby but am now working on getting my associates degree in it. Music and Actors: My music interests are very much across the board. It ranges from soundtrack music, such as instrumental from Star Wars to . . . I suppose soft rock, such as David Cook. I am absolutely in love with David and his voice and have been to TWO of his concerts, and even got to meet him in person. As for actors, my number one favorite actor is Ewan McGregor, but following close behind are Harrison Ford, Mark Hammill, Sean Connery, Jensen Ackles, Nathan Fillion and Jared Padalecki. | ||

| I am absolutely in love with David Cook. I have had the amazing experience of not only getting to see him in concert four times, but meeting him once when he did an autograph session at the second concert I went to. Unfortunately I barely said more than maybe four words to him, but it was still amazing to get to do and is something I will never forget. I would listen to his voice forever. I am in love with Firefly, having only been introduced to it for the first time in October 2010. I am also a fan of Supernatural, Castle, Merlin and Game of Thrones. And of course, I am a big Star Wars fan, though the heaviness of my obsession has definitely gone up and down over the last several years- no thanks to certain prequels (episode two) and a certain cartoon movie (The Clone Wars). Unfortunately I stopped reading the expanded universe books back in high school, due to certain events that the authors had happen that made me lose interest.
